Project
The masonry bridge over the Cervo River, part of the Canale Cavour system, is a historically significant infrastructure. The structure, featuring low-rise arches, was equipped with an advanced monitoring system to track structural deformations, thereby improving safety for its users.
Intervention
Field S.r.l. installed multiple triaxial clinometers on the bridge deck, piers, and arches to monitor elevation shifts, planimetric displacements, and deformations. Data collected is processed using advanced algorithms to reconstruct deformation profiles and analyze structural movements. Additionally, computational models and configurations were developed to reduce measurement errors and improve analysis reliability.
Results
Since installation, the monitoring system has provided continuous deformation control for the structure. The collected data enables efficient maintenance planning and ensures the bridge’s long-term safety and usability.
